Uber late and possibly better than nothing. Here's my entry for last month. It is supposed to be a drawing of the main characters from hidden fortress (although I've not actually seen the film) and a bunch of scribbles. I've also added a sword and dagger which I haven't seen in any reference photos so it's all a bit badly researched.

Great to see the roughs, like the triangle composition, great focal point, sillouettes working well. My main crit, as Weimin mentioned, you should build up arms and legs with more different shapes rather than tubes.
ReplyDeleteonly just got round to commenting on your work man - like Allen says, the triangular comp works really well. i really like the guy on the left - his head tilting backwards feels spot on.
ReplyDeleteif you're looking to put more form into the arms then i would suggest having a look at some bridgeman arm studies - there are quite a few drawings in his books that describe the large blocks of form of the arm. ive found them really useful...
